Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis is the narrowing of the spinal canal in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.  This narrowing occurs over time, causing pressure on the spinal cord or the nerves and result in pain. The pain may include neck, mid-back and lower back pain that may have the pain running into the arms or legs when up walking (claudication) or running down the back of legs (sciatica). Diagnosis with x-ray or MRI scan, further testing may be needed based off exam.

Treatments can consist of exercise, medication, physical therapy, medical procedure such as Epidural Steroid injection (ESI) or require spinal surgery.
