DISH -Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Jyperostosis


 

Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) is also knows as Forestier’s Disease.  DISH is the bony hardening of ligaments  and tendons around the spine.  These calcified hardened bone form bone spurs.  The bone spurs can cause difficulty with swallowing or pressure on the esophagus
