Pinched Nerve


 

Pinched nerve is when too much pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues, such as bones, cartilage, muscle, or tendons.  The pressure causes pain, numbness, or weakness. Diagnosis with x-ray or MRI scan, further testing may be needed based off exam.

Treatments can consist of exercise, medication, physical therapy, chiropractic manipulation, medical procedure such as Epidural steroid injection (ESI) or require spinal surgery.
